While it’s less common to repair tempered glass, some windows survive with a small scratch or chip. Car glass repair is less expensive than a complete replacement. The process involves removing debris from the damaged area and creating a smooth pathway for a repair resin. The repair resin is then injected, cured and polished for a seamless finish.
Windshield repair is much more common. Unlike car windows, the windshield is made from laminated windshield glass. Laminated glass does not disintegrate like tempered glass. Instead, it remains intact in order to protect the driver and passengers in the event of an accident. We consider several factors when deciding whether to repair or replace your windshield, including the size of the chip and its location. Learn more about our windshield repair & replacement services. Mobile Windshield Repairs works with all major insurance carriers, handling the insurance filing for you. It is advisable to contact your local agent to verify coverage before having your windshield repaired or replaced. Call us with any additional questions. We’re available 24/7, seven days a week. |

Wondering whether your vehicle has tempered or laminated windows? Check the bottom corner of your car windows. You’ll find a small label that indicates if the glass is tempered or laminated. Tempered glass often includes:
